Antibes vs Hyeres vs ??? - for a relaxing beach holiday

Our take

Planning a relaxing beach holiday in the south of France? Let’s explore the charming towns of Antibes, Hyères, and another contender that suits your vibe! As you unwind on the beach, your partner can dive into exciting activities like kite surfing. You'll both love the idea of group catamaran trips for snorkeling and sipping drinks while soaking up the sun.

My partner and I (late 20s) are planning a week-long beach holiday in the south of France in early July. The primary goal is relaxing on the beach for me, though my partner prefers something more active like learning kite surfing or similar activities. We'd like to do one or more boat trips like a group catamaran trip somewhere to snorkel / enjoy being on a boat with drinks. We're also big foodies and would appreciate good restaurants...

We're looking for a town where we won't need a car to get to dinner, not too overrun with children, and overall relaxing vibes.

Our budget is around €250/night for accomodation, so won't be able to afford places like st Tropez since I want to be as close to the beach as possible!

Also any recommendations for boating trips appreciated!
