French Riviera - help?
Our take
Hey everyone! 👋 I'm on a mission to fulfill my husband’s lifelong dream of visiting the French Riviera for his 40th birthday! He’s always wanted a place with clear blue ocean just steps from the door and beautiful grounds where we can relax and soak up the sun. We're looking to spend around €1,000 a night but are open to going a bit higher for that perfect spot. I’d love to hear any recommendations you have that fit this vision. Thank you so much!
Hi everyone 👋
My husband is a man that never asks for much but has been wanting to visit the French Riviera his whole life. He’s said “I want clear blue ocean steps from my door and a resort that has nice grounds that I’d actually want to spend time on”. - that’s the most I can get out of him, hard to dial it in when it’s just a dream. In any case, I’m taking him there for his 40th and want to start planning now. Hoping to spend around €1,000 a night but willing to go slightly higher for the perfect spot. Looking for any and all recommendations that fit the bill. Thank you!

- Simple but fantastic French beach hotels w good foodI will be dropping my wife and a couple of her friends off at a beach hotel somewhere between Barcelona and Monaco while I follow the Tour de France for a few days, and I’m looking for hotel/inn recommendations for her. Preferences are for small, simple, good food, walkable to other things. Doesn’t need to be right on the water but should be very nice if not. Quality but not fancy / trying too hard. - Antibes vs Hyeres vs ??? - for a relaxing beach holidayMy partner and I (late 20s) are planning a week-long beach holiday in the south of France in early July. The primary goal is relaxing on the beach for me, though my partner prefers something more active like learning kite surfing or similar activities. We'd like to do one or more boat trips like a group catamaran trip somewhere to snorkel / enjoy being on a boat with drinks. We're also big foodies and would appreciate good restaurants... We're looking for a town where we won't need a car to get to dinner, not too overrun with children, and overall relaxing vibes. Our budget is around €250/night for accomodation, so won't be able to afford places like st Tropez since I want to be as close to the beach as possible! Also any recommendations for boating trips appreciated! submitted by /u/Cranberry_Kitten [link] [comments]
- France + Liguria 2 week itineraryHi Reddit! Would appreciate tips and suggestions on our itinerary. My husband and I have trouble slowing down on our trips as we get ambitious and want to see everything - please help us plan an actually relaxing trip while still allowing for some exploring lol. We like wine and food, art/museums, and an easy hike or two wouldn’t go astray. Also aiming to have at least a couple beach days. Thanks!
