St Tropez beach clubs without the insane hype/prices?

Our take

Heading to St. Tropez for three nights in July? You’re in for a treat! While iconic beach clubs like Bagatelle and Casa Amor are popular, you can still find vibrant spots that offer great vibes without the crazy hype or prices. Consider exploring more under-the-radar options in Pampelonne or checking out local favorites closer to town. A day trip to Sainte-Maxime could also provide a relaxed escape.

4 women late 30s heading to St Tropez in July for 3 nights and trying to plan ahead a bit.

We’ve done Ibiza a few times, so we’re used to beach clubs and spending, but St Tropez bookings seem next level. We managed to get L’Opéra one night, but everything else (Bagatelle, Casa Amor etc.) either looks fully booked or very “Instagram heavy”.

We’re staying in town and happy to spend, but ideally looking for beach clubs with a great vibe that aren’t completely over the top. Think good music, fun atmosphere, but still relaxed enough to actually enjoy the day.

Open to:

  • Pampelonne options that are a bit more under the radar
  • Spots closer to town if they’re worth it
  • Any tried and tested local restaurants?
  • A day trip to Sainte-Maxime if that’s a smarter/more relaxed move

Also… how expensive is “expensive” in reality? Trying to sense check what a normal day looks like for a normal person.

Would really appreciate any recommendations or honest advice from people who’ve been recently.

Thanks!
