17-day Philippines Itinerary (Palawan) - Nov/Dec 2026
Our take
Hey everyone! We’re gearing up for an epic 17-day adventure in the Philippines this December and would love your input on our itinerary. We’ll kick things off in Manila before heading to the stunning beaches of Port Barton and El Nido, followed by a quick stop in Boracay. We’re curious about the balance of our time spent in these locations, the feasibility of our transfers, and whether an extra stop in Coron might enhance our trip. Your insights would mean the world—thank you!
Hi everyone! We are planning a 17-day trip to the Philippines in December and would love to get some feedback on our itinerary.
Flight Details:
- Porto → Manila (Swiss, via Zurich + Hong Kong)
- Manila → Puerto Princesa + 4h van to Port Barton
- Van from Port Barton to El Nido
- Flight El Nido → Boracay (AirSwift)
- Flight Boracay → Manila (Philippine Airlines)
- Manila → Porto (Swiss)
Itinerary:
- Manila: 2 nights
- Port Barton: 4 nights
- El Nido: 6 nights
- Boracay: 1 night
Specific Questions:
- Is the balance of 4 nights in Port Barton and 6 in El Nido a good split?
- Is 1 night in Boracay worth it, or is it too rushed?
- Are we planning too many transfers?
- Should we skip Manila entirely?
- Are there any changes you would recommend?
- Would you suggest adding Coron to the mix?
Thank you!

- New years in the PhilippinesHello. My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to the Philippines over New Year’s. We have approximately 16-17 nights in total, landing in Manila on the 28th December (early). We defs wanna hit up El Nido and have recently looked into Borocay as well which looks gorgeous. Wondering where else we can go in this time. Obviously considering Coron seeing as it’s close and easy to get to from El Nido, but I’m wondering if it’s too similar to El Nido and Borocay that we won’t have much variety. We’re not particularly into diving which I see is an attraction at Coron. Any other standout islands? Which out of these three islands should we spend New Year’s Eve as well? And how long would you recommend in each place? Appreciate any advice! Thanks! submitted by /u/elk2212 [link] [comments]

- Decision fatigue for the PhillipinesGoodness my head is about to explode! Phillipines has been the hardest country to plan a trip. There's so many islands. So much to do. Help! What we're looking for. We're a family of four (children age 2 and 7). We're going August 8th- September 1st. Yes, I understand this is the rainy season. Flying into Cebu But yes, we are looking for one island, one place to stay for three weeks. Yes, we understand this might sound boring to some but we want to slow travel, chill and soak in as much sun and sea as possible. What matters the most is staying right on the beach, we want calm super turquoise fantastic water. Which island is best? We thought Palawan but it apparently is one of the worst during the raining season. So im open to hearing your experience submitted by /u/inexperiencedjuggler [link] [comments]
