Spain vs Spain + Portugal (15 days, mid-June) — itinerary feedback?

Hi, I’ve been reading past threads, but I’m still unsure how to structure this trip and would really appreciate some feedback.

Trip details:

  • ~15 days total (mid-June, somewhat flexible)
  • Flying from the US (likely into Barcelona, out of Lisbon)
  • Budget: mid-range (mix of hotels + occasional nicer stays)
  • Interests: food, walkable cities, history, some architecture, not big on rushing or checking boxes

What I’ve researched so far:

I came up with two rough options:

Option A (Spain only):

  • Barcelona (4 days)
  • Madrid (3 days)
  • Seville (3–4 days)
  • Granada (2 days)

Option B (Spain + Portugal):

  • Barcelona (3–4 days)
  • Seville (3 days)
  • Lisbon (3 days)
  • Porto (2–3 days)

My questions:

  • Does Option B feel too rushed given the travel time between Spain and Portugal?
  • If sticking to Spain, would you prioritize Granada over somewhere like Valencia or more time in Madrid?
  • Any adjustments you’d make to improve pacing?
