Do you think it’s worth booking a trip for October to SEA right now or should I wait.

I’m planning on going to Southeast Asia for 3 months. Right now the prices have spiked from the last time i checked and I’m hearing about so many flights being cancelled. Do you think i should just bite the bullet and get the ticket now or do you think prices will go down? For context a flight to Ho Chi Minh right now one way from where I’m at in New York is $507 at the absolute cheapest. How much was it for anyone who flew a similar route when you do it? Also I’m planning on just doing a one way ticket there since I’m not exactly sure where I’ll fly back from. Do you think prices to fly back in December will drop by then or should i just bite the bullet and get tickets back in advance? Any input is appreciated.
