Flying out of Denver. Stay in Denver the night before or somewhere else close by?

So my wife and I will be driving in the day before our flight out of Denver Int. So we’ll have that night to grab some dinner and some exploring maybe.

Wondering if it’s easiest to just grab a room near Union Station or stay somewhere in the surrounding areas? Golden? Boulder? or???
