Swiss Areas?
Our take
Hey there, adventurous traveler! If you're looking to explore Switzerland's stunning scenery and hiking trails beyond the well-trodden paths of Interlaken and Grindelwald, you’re in for a treat. While those spots are popular, there are hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Thun is a fantastic choice, offering breathtaking views and a charming atmosphere. Other regions, like the Engadin Valley or the Aletsch Arena, are also worth considering. These areas provide excellent transport links to major cities while delivering the adventure and beauty you seek.
Hey,
Looking to solo travel to Switzerland, mainly for scenery/hikes, my second option was Norway. However, I always hear people say that Interlaken isnt the best spot to go to, as its over touristy etc, as well as Grindelwald. Is there any other regions apart from the Bernese Oberland that has great scenery and is perhaps underrated, whilst having good transport to hotspots like cities etc. I have heard Thun mentioned for the Oberland area too, but need more thoughts.
