Spirit Airlines, will my flight be cancelled?

Our take

Hey there, adventurer! It sounds like you're gearing up for an exciting trip to Myrtle Beach, but I totally get the concern about your Spirit Airlines flight. With recent news, it's natural to wonder if your plans might be affected. Before making any decisions, it’s worth checking the airline's cancellation policies and current updates. If you’re feeling uneasy about the flight, consider weighing the cost of a backup ticket against the potential risk.

hi i’m going to myrtle beach in two weeks i got a round trip flight with spirit airlines but with the recent news im scared it will get cancelled. should i buy a backup ticket with another airline or risk it? i paid $90 for spirit and im looking at other rates and they are like $500. i’m flying out of NYC so the options are limited surprisingly since american airlines has a connection so delta is my only other option. what should i do?!
