Should I go to Budapest, Vienna, and Prague from May 16-23, or June 1-8 ?

Our take

Are you torn between visiting Budapest, Vienna, and Prague from May 16-23 or June 1-8? Choosing May means fewer crowds and more affordable tickets and accommodations, as summer vacation hasn’t kicked in yet. However, heading there in June offers warmer weather—ideal if you prefer temperatures above 22°C (70°F)—and a chance to escape the rising heat back home in Texas. Plus, June may align better with your personal schedule. Consider these factors to decide which week will make your Spring Break adventure truly epic!

Want to go to Vienna, Budapest, and Prague for a week for Spring Break. Should I go May 16 to 23, or June 2-10?

Arguments for May :-

Not as crowded as first week of June would be, since the summer vacation in Europe and many parts of the US would not have started yet.

Cheaper tickets and accommodation as a result of the above

Arguments for June :-

Even warmer weather (my ideal temperature is at least 22C/70F)

I get to escape even worse weather at home (I am from the southern US, Texas, and it goes from hot to unbearably hot from May to June)

All else being equal, this is slightly more convenient for my personal schedule
