Road trip/Car rental advice: Tucson to Las Vegas?

Hey adventure seekers! 🌟 Next month, I'll be hitting the road from Tucson to Las Vegas with my dad for an epic 2-3 day getaway! We're planning to stop at Oatman, which has become a yearly must-see for me! Last year, I tackled this route solo in a Toyota Corolla, but I learned that some rocky roads can be tricky. I’m looking for car rental advice on the best vehicle class for this journey and any fun stops along the way.
Hi all! Next month when I'm in AZ, I'll be driving from Tucson to Las Vegas with my dad for 2-3 days, to visit Oatman along the way, and I'm not sure what car rental class type/category would be best. Last year, I did that trip myself(TUS>Lake Havasu>Oatman>Laughlin>Vegas) in a little Toyota corolla rental😂...never again! It wasn't bad, except for some roads that were rocky and I felt I couldnt truly explore.
Also, any recommended stops? Oatman is becoming a yearly mandatory requirement for me😂 🫏
