- Advice on stops between Lisbon to AlgarveHi all, I have the front and back end of my Portugal itinerary down, pasted below. I am torn on what to do in middle, namely on day 5 and 6. As you can see below my initial plan was to take the scenic route and stop in Alentejo region for two days/1 night. I've considered 1) making day 5 a Cascais day trip and just driving straight to Algarve on day 6 using the highway. or 2) making day 4 a day trip to Cascais, then day 5-6 an overnight in Sintra, then straight to Algarve. Other stops i've considered are Evora, though a little out of the way. Would love insight from anyone whos done a similar trip. With the four days in the Algarve, I'm interested in any suggestions that would bring diversity to the itinerary. ie Porto Covo feeling the same as Lagos would be helpful to know. Day 1 - arrive LIS 4:40pm Day 2 - explore Lisbon Day 3- more Lisbon Day 4 - Sintra day trip Day 5 - was going to drive Lisbon to Alentejo, stop overnight in Porto Covo Day 6 - Porto Covo daytime to Algarve Day 7- Algarve (lagos or carvoeiro) Day 8 - Algarve (Seven Hanging Valleys Trail hike) Day 9 - Algarve (SUP Bengali caves) Day 10- Algarve (another town) Day 11- check out, fly to next destination (London) I would say my partner and I love to do something active each day followed by some chill beach time. We come from a beach town so its not entirely novel to use, but do love a quintessential eruo summer vibe. Good food is always appreciated, but we dont really drink. - Itinerary Advice - Spain/PortugalHey everyone, Wondering what you all think of the following. I have 8 days to spend in mid/late June in Spain/Portugal and the 3 places/cities that we (my wife and I) are most interested in are San Sebastian, Porto, and Lisbon. I'm thinking it'll probably be rushed if we do all 3 in that amount of time, so I'm looking to narrow it down to 2 of the 3, but am having trouble. We're in our early 30s and enjoy a ton of different things including: food - restaurants/bars/coffee shops, culture/sightseeing, walking around cities, beaches, hiking/nature, night life and more. Any and all thoughts and or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! submitted by /u/BonsaiCrazed13 [link] [comments]
- 8 Days in Portugal Itinerary Feedback (Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra, Nazare, Douro)Hi everyone! My family and I are travelling to Portugal next month, and I’d love some feedback on our itinerary. We don’t mind fast-paced travel, but I want to make sure we’re not rushing too much or missing anything major. Day 1: Arrive in Lisbon early morning Day 2: Explore Lisbon Day 3: Sintra day trip Day 4: Day trip to Nazare + Obidos (possibly Fatima too) — debating between renting a car or doing a guided tour Day 5: Travel to Coimbra (not sure whether to stay overnight or continue to Porto the same evening) Day 6: Porto Day 7: Douro Valley day trip Day 8: More time in Porto, then evening train to Lisbon for next morning’s flight Does this feel too rushed for 8 full days? Would you recommend renting a car for Nazare/Obidos, or is a guided tour easier? Is Coimbra worth an overnight stay, or would you spend the extra time in Porto instead? submitted by /u/SnooDonuts3819 [link] [comments]
- Itenary reviewHey! We are a 28 year old couple planning to visit Portugal in end of May . We are planning to rent a car for the entire duration of the trip. We are planning to do 4 nights Lisbon 2 nights Lagos 2 nights albuferia and 4 nights Marbella. We will be landing in Lisbon and even our departure airport will be the same and we plan to drive from Portugal to Spain and back. A little something about us - we love beaches, partying, trying Michelin restaurants , just walking around the town exploring and relaxing. We aren’t into history or museums or anything historic at all. Would love some suggestions about the itenary or anything in general as well. Thank you submitted by /u/Any-Cancel6742 [link] [comments]
