okinawa travels in june

Our take

Hey there! Planning a two-week adventure in Okinawa sounds amazing! June is indeed the rainy season, but don’t let that dampen your spirits—there’s still plenty of sunshine and fun to be had! Focusing on a few key spots, like the city and charming smaller towns, will allow you to soak in the local vibe at a relaxed pace. Plus, diving in Okinawa is a must! Let’s explore the best places to stay, what to do, and how to budget for an unforgettable trip! 🌊✨

hiii! I’m looking for advice on traveling to Okinawa in June.

I’m planning a longer trip, probably at least 2 weeks, though the exact length isn’t confirmed yet. I’m thinking of visiting just a few places in Okinawa rather than trying to cover too much, and I’m not sure whether it’s better to stay in the city area first or head straight to smaller towns and base myself there.

How is the weather in June? From what I’ve read, it seems like it’s the rainy season, so I’m wondering how disruptive that usually is for travel. Is it still manageable for sightseeing and beach activities, or should I expect a lot of indoor time?

I’d also love recommendations on where to stay and what to do, especially for a slower-paced trip. Since I’ll have a couple of weeks, I’m open to staying in one or two bases instead of moving around too much.

side note, im looking to dive in okinawa, any must go spots? or better areas to stay closer to the diving spots?

Lastly, I’m trying to figure out the budget. If I stay for around 3 weeks, would SGD 2,500 be enough for accommodation, food, local transport, and activities, excluding flights?

Any advice would be really appreciated!
