Oahu in April

Our take

Oahu in April was an unexpected delight! The breathtaking scenery, reminiscent of a tropical Iceland, features sharp mountains alongside stunning white sand beaches. Early mornings became our favorite moments as we hiked to the Makapu’u Lighthouse and the Lanikai Pillbox, soaking in the beauty before sunrise. While the island’s remoteness and higher costs for food were noticeable, the lush landscapes and adventurous spirit made our trip unforgettable. Oahu truly captured our hearts with its vibrant energy and stunning natural wonders!

Oahu in April

Just visited Oahu in Hawaii for the first time. We didn’t expect to like it as much as we did but the scenery is quite impressive. It’s like the tropical version of Iceland with sharp tall mountains next to beaches. The lush landscape with white sand beaches everywhere was beautiful.

Favorite and most memorable part was waking up early before sunrise because we were not used to the time zone yet and hiking to the Makapu’u Lighthouse and the Lanikai Pillbox trail both shown in these images.

Only drawback to the island is that it’s very far and very expensive. Food on average was just ok.
