Kauai vs Maui for rainforest, climate, and beach.

Our take

Are you torn between revisiting Maui or exploring the lush landscapes of Kauai? Both islands offer stunning beaches and unique experiences, but they differ in climate and adventure opportunities. Kauai boasts the breathtaking Napali Coast and vibrant rainforest hikes, perfect for those seeking natural beauty and tropical fruits. However, it’s known for its unpredictable rain, especially in areas like Princeville, which has limited hotel options. Meanwhile, Maui offers a mix of familiar charm and reliable weather.

We’ve been wondering whether we should really go to Maui for the third time, or go to a new island. Kauai was a contender, due to its Napali Coast. We want niceish infrastructure, nice beaches, rainforest hiking, and most of all, tropical fruits. We’ve been wondering mainly because of how Kauai is notorious for rain and monsoon like storms. Also, princeville (rainforest side) has horrible hotel options for the space we NEED. What do you guys think
