Hong Kong 🇭🇰 trip last October
Our take
Last October, my trip to Hong Kong was an unforgettable adventure! A standout moment was visiting Lantau Island to see the majestic Tian Tan Buddha—absolutely worth it! The Star Ferry ride, though brief, offered stunning views of the skyline from the water, making it a must-do for any traveler. Evenings at Tsim Sha Tsui promenade, combined with a night cruise, delivered insane views that took my breath away.

| Lantau Island was a highlight where we visited the Tian Tan Buddha. Worth it. Star Ferry ride was short but easily one of the best experiences for minimum price. The skyline hits differently from the water. Evenings at Tsim Sha Tsui promenade plus night cruise = insane views. Nan Lian Garden was very calm, clean, and a nice break from the city rush. Peak Tram ride was fun (huge skyscrapers looked tilted like its leaning), and the view from the top is probably the best in the city, the HK skyline. [link] [comments] |

- My trip to Hong KongI visited Hong Kong about a month ago, and I really enjoyed it. The night view at Victoria Harbour was one of the best parts. I walked along the Tsim Sha Tsui promenade one evening, and the skyline with all the lights reflecting on the water was genuinely impressive. I also took the Star Ferry at night – simple and cheap, but the view from the water was totally worth it. The night I went up to The Peak, the city looked amazing from above. What made the trip easier was how foreigner‑friendly Hong Kong felt. Signs and MTR announcements are in English, so getting around was no problem. In most restaurants I went to, staff were patient and helpful, and menus often had English or pictures. I never felt lost or unwelcome. People weren't overly chatty, but they were polite and efficient. A couple of times locals pointed me in the right direction when I looked confused. submitted by /u/Charlotte_1122 [link] [comments]
