Best area in Spain (Costa Blanca or Costa Brava) for calm family holidays with a toddler?

Our take

Hi everyone! We’re excited to plan our summer holidays in Spain with our 3-year-old toddler and would love your recommendations. We're seeking a calm, family-friendly area that still has some life, ideally with a beautiful beach for daytime fun and a charming town center for evening strolls filled with restaurants, small shops, and ice cream. We’ve explored Costa Brava and Costa del Sol already, so we're considering Costa Blanca, particularly towns like Altea or Dénia. Any specific towns or hidden gems you suggest?

Hi everyone,

We’re planning summer holidays in Spain with our 3-year-old and I’d love some advice.

We’re looking for a place that is calm and family-friendly, but not completely dead. Ideally: beach during the day, a nice town center to walk around in the evening (restaurants, small shops, ice cream, etc.), a bit of life, but not party-oriented or too crowded.

We’ll have a car, so we’re happy to drive around nearby areas if needed.

We’ve already done Costa Brava and Costa del Sol, so we were considering Costa Blanca, maybe towns like Altea or Dénia ? But not sure if they fit what we’re looking for.

👉 Any specific towns you’d recommend on Costa Blanca?

👉 Or hidden gems on Costa Brava that match this vibe? We are open to go back.

Thanks a lot!
